The Los Angeles Youth Well-being Study

The Effects of Cash-Plus Programs on Young Adults: Evidence from a Randomized Experiment in Los Angeles County

A mixed methods study to learn about the lives of the young adults of Los Angeles

Welcome to the homepage for the Los Angeles Youth Well-being Study (LAYWS)! We are excited to partner with the Los Angeles County Department of Social Services (LA DPSS) to learn more about the lives of young adults in Los Angeles. Led by Marcella Cartledge Jin (University of Virginia and Jain Family Institute) and Ajay Chaudry (New York University), the study will help us learn about the needs of Los Angeles youth and the best way to aid them as they transition to adulthood.

The Los Angeles Youth Well-being Study involves interviews with individuals together with surveys. This project can be found in the academic space under the following title: “The Effects of Cash-Plus Programs on Young Adults: Evidence from a Randomized Experiment in Los Angeles County”.
